Jacaranda Tree (Jacaranda mimosifolia)
A breathtaking feature tree known for its vibrant purple, trumpet-shaped spring flowers and fern-like foliage. However, it needs plenty of room to stretch out.
Light: Needs absolute full sun to flower at its absolute best.
Soil: Highly prefers rich, fertile, well-draining soil. It handles a bit of dry weather once established but hates sitting in soggy clay.
Watering: Water deeply and regularly during the spring and summer months while it’s young. Once the tree matures and its root system is deep, it is surprisingly drought-tolerant.
