Oriental Pearl is a dwarf Indian Hawthorn variety featuring glossy green foliage and masses of fragrant white flowers in spring. Its naturally rounded shape and excellent drought tolerance make it a favourite for low hedges, borders and layered planting.

Care Guide
1. Lighting: Thrives in full sun to light shade. More sun equals more flowers and a tighter, denser growth habit.
2. Watering: Water regularly 1-2 times a week until established (first 3-6 months). Once established, water deeply every 1–2 weeks during dry weather.
3. Soil: Very versatile. Prefers well-drained soil but handles sandy soils and heavy clay reasonably well.
4. Fertilising: Apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring. A light feed after flowering is optional.
5. Maintenance: You can trim it after flowering in spring if you want to shape it into a formal ball or low hedge, but left alone, it naturally stays quite neat and compact. Coastal salt spray and wind won’t bother it at all.
