Cordyline ‘Pink Passion’
This plant brings the ultimate “wow” factor with its intense, shocking-pink and burgundy variegated, strappy leaves. It adds an instant tropical or architectural vibe to borders and pots.
Light: Prefers full sun to light, dappled afternoon shade. The bright pink color stays the most vibrant when it gets plenty of morning sunshine.
Soil: Must have excellent drainage. If the soil retains too much water, the base and roots are highly prone to rotting.
Watering: Low to moderate. Allow the soil to mostly dry out between waterings. It prefers a good, deep soak occasionally rather than frequent, shallow splashes.
Maintenance: Extremely easy. It naturally grows on a clean central stem. All you need to do is gently peel away the old, dead lower leaves as they fade to keep the trunk looking neat and tidy. Protect it from severe, freezing winter frosts.
